Saturday was a busy day for the Lee family. Saturday morning we visited Alyssa. Saturday afternoon we celebrated Evan's 3rd birthday with many family and friends. Saturday evening we went to visit Alyssa again.
Saturday evening I spent the night with Alyssa in the hospital. It was a little sleepover with my little angel. I had a very restful evening since Alyssa was up most of the night. I suspected all night she needed to poop but it did not happen until 9 am  I was glad she finally was able to feel better since I know it made her restless too. I was happy to be there since I got to hold her several times during the night, change her diaper, clothes and just be her mommy.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

Alyssa had a wonderful Friday. She lost 10 grams but continues to do good. She now weighs 3 pounds and 7 ounces. During lunch Evan, Aunt Erika and I went to visit with Alyssa. I was there with her when she had her checkup with the eye doctor. This was not a good experience for Alyssa or I. I had to listen to Alyssa scream as he forced his way into looking at her eyes. After it was all over and done with he said everything looked normal for her age. Damian and I went to visit Alyssa in the evening and I was able to hold her. It was pure bliss to hold her again!

I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. Psalm 86:12

Alyssa had a great Thursday. She had her first bath given my mommy & daddy. Damian and I both really enjoyed giving her a bath, lathering her with lotion and dressing her. This is Alyssa's first time being in clothes ever. After her bath she went right to sleep and was snug a bug in her bed. Thankful for our wonderful nurses  who show us and guide us to caring for our small baby girl. God is so so so good!

Alyssa had a wonderful Wednesday. Alyssa maintained the same body weight from Tuesday to Wednesday. I attempted to breast feed again during lunch time with the help of a lactation consultant. Alyssa has not been doing so well since she is still young for eating. The lactation consultant suggested I continue to try but not every feeding. Alyssa could become frustrated and have a negative attitude towards breast feeding. In the evening when we arrived we were told that Alyssa pulled out her feeding tube again, so it got put in her other nostril. Damian was able to feed her with a bottle and she drank almost half of it. She drinks very very slowly and its much easier to bottle feed than breast feed for preemie's. We are looking forward to Thursday when we will give Alyssa her first bath. God continues to give us peace in the middle of a difficult time. Giving him ALL the glory!!!!

Now ALL the glory to God, who is able, through HIS might power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20

Alyssa is having a great start to her week. Tuesday she did lose weight however is minimal and I know she'll gain it back soon. When we showed up yesterday during lunch we found out she pulled her feeding tube completely out of her nose, she is very active little girl. I was able to hold her again last night and attempt breast feeding practice. She was very alert and awake most of the time. She is very interested in everything in the room and turns her head towards Damian's voice and mine. Granny and Papaw also came to visit last night. Giving God all the glory for watching over her and us during this time!

A yawn, so tired.
